国庆没长胖是我最后的坚持！“游泳圈”“小肚腩”用英语该怎么说？

Muffin其实是一种蛋糕，中文里可以叫做玛芬蛋糕或者松饼，是西方的一种日常点心。

之所以这么命名，可能是因为杯子蛋糕被烘烤后膨胀突出的那一部分就像人的小肚腩一样吧，因此用杯子蛋糕的顶部来命名小肚腩~

举个例子：

The soldiers are ordered to tuck in their shirts, and jelly bellies and muffin tops become evident.

spare tire 游泳圈

很多人看到“spare tire”时第一个反应就是，“备用轮胎？” 但其实它还有另外一个意思，那就是“游泳圈”。可不是咱们游泳的游泳圈哈，而是身上长的那个“游泳圈”。

这是一种幽默的叫法，说的就是腰腹间多于的赘肉，unwanted fat around your waist.

举个例子：

I was determined to get some exercise and lose my growing spare tire.

我决定锻炼减掉我正在壮大的“游泳圈”。

还有一种说法叫做“爱的把手”，英文为“love handles”，《剑桥词典》对这个词的解释为“the layer of fat around the middle of a person's body”，指的是腰部乃至后腰两侧多出来的肉肉。

当两人相互拥抱时，手臂会自然环绕在对方腰部的那个地方。也可以翻译成“爱肌”，指臀部上方及腰两侧的脂肪，呈半环状。当情侣们拥抱的时候，两侧的肉肉就可以当把手一样扶着，相当有安全感，因此这里的肉肉就有了“love handles”的叫法~

说到身材，大家应该都知道，比如什么梨型身材，O型身材，H型身材等等，那这些用英语该咋说呢？

Pear Body Shape 梨型身材

The pear body shape or triangle is characterized by fuller hips. A pear will typically gain weight below the waist first, in the hips and thighs.

梨型身材或三角型身材的特点是臀部较为丰满。这样的身材一般是腰部以下位置先长胖，脂肪主要集中在臀部和大腿。

Apple Body Shape O型身材

The apple or round is characterized by a fuller waist. A apple will tend to gain weight around the middle.

苹果型或圆型身材的特点是腰身较粗。苹果型身材通常是腰部及以上的躯干中间部位发胖。

Hourglass Body Shape X型身材

The hourglass is characterized by a perfect waist definition and an equal balance of the shoulders and hips. This is considered the most ideal body shape.

沙漏型身材的特点是腰部线条完美，肩臀同宽。这是每个女生都想拥有的完美身材。

Column Body Shape H型身材

The column or rectangle is characterized by little to no waist definition. This means that there is no distinct waist and the shoulders and hips are equal.

H型，即柱型或矩型身材的特点是几乎没有腰。这意味着H形身材的腰身不明显，肩膀和臀部同宽。
