摘要：20世纪80年代初,随着"以学习者为中心"教学理念的提出,个性因素被引入到第二语言习得研究领域.具体到翻译领域,这些个性因素以不同的形式综合贯穿于翻译的全过程,影响译前文本选择和译中翻译方法,对译文质量起着举足轻重的作用.该文通过基于问卷调查和英汉互译测试的实证研究,去探究非英语专业学生个性因素(性格倾向和焦虑)与翻译能力之间的相关性.研究结果显示,外向性格与翻译表现呈正相关,优于内向性格;过多或过少焦虑都不能达到最佳行为结果,适量的焦虑才会带来更好的翻译表现.
