中小学英语常考词汇：pick的短语用法大全

在《新概念英语》经典版第二册第42课的难点部分里，出现了有关pick于不同介词的搭配用法，今天我们就来做个梳理分享。

一、教材中的短语

（一）pick up

该短语有多种含义，常见的含义有“捡起；接人；养成；学习”。如：

捡起：It's against the rule to pick up the ball. （捡球是犯规的。）

接人：The driver stopped to pick up a hitchhiker. （司机停下来让一个搭车人上了车。）

养成：It's no easy job to pick up a good habit. （养成一个好习惯并非易事。）

学习：If you go to England, you'll soon pick up English. （ 你如果到英国去，很快就能学会英语的。）

【注意】

以上短语中的宾语如果不是名词，而是代词的时候，主要放在pick和up中间。如：

The driver stopped to pick him up.

The driver stopped to pick him up.

The driver stopped to pick him up.

（二）pick out

该短语表示“挑出；辨认出”。如：

挑出：My father helped me pick out a new book. （我父亲帮我选了一本新书。）

辨认出：Can you pick out that murderer in this crowd? （在这群人中你认出那个杀人凶手吗?）

挑出：My father helped me pick out a new book. （我父亲帮我选了一本新书。）

辨认出：Can you pick out that murderer in this crowd? （在这群人中你认出那个杀人凶手吗?）

挑出：My father helped me pick out a new book. （我父亲帮我选了一本新书。）

辨认出：Can you pick out that murderer in this crowd? （在这群人中你认出那个杀人凶手吗?）

二、其他常用短语

（三）pick on

该短语表示“挑选；捉弄”，后面一般接人。如：

挑选：They always pick on him to do the unpleasant jobs . （他们总找他去做那些令人讨厌的差事。）

捉弄：Why do you always pick on your brother? （你为什么总是捉弄你弟弟?）

挑选：They always pick on him to do the unpleasant jobs . （他们总找他去做那些令人讨厌的差事。）

捉弄：Why do you always pick on your brother? （你为什么总是捉弄你弟弟?）

挑选：They always pick on him to do the unpleasant jobs . （他们总找他去做那些令人讨厌的差事。）

捉弄：Why do you always pick on your brother? （你为什么总是捉弄你弟弟?）

（四）pick off

该短语主要表示“采摘；击中”。如：

采摘：You should not pick off any of the flowers. （你不应该摘花。）

击中：He picked off a wild duck rising from the marsh. （他射中了一只从沼泽地里飞起的野鸭。）

采摘：You should not pick off any of the flowers. （你不应该摘花。）

击中：He picked off a wild duck rising from the marsh. （他射中了一只从沼泽地里飞起的野鸭。）
