UFS (Universal Flash Storage)

UFS聽is specifically tailored for mobile applications and computing systems requiring high performance and low power consumption. In August 2022, JEDEC聽published JESD220F UFS 4.0,聽which is an update to version 3.1 published in 2020.

JESD220-2B Universal Flash Storage (UFS) Card Extension Standard was updated in November 2020. Version 3.0 of this removable memory card standard standardizes functionality that aligns with UFS version 3.0.

To achieve the highest performance and most power efficient data transport, JEDEC UFS leverages industry leading specifications from the MIPI庐 Alliance to form its Interconnect Layer. This collaboration continues with UFS version 4.0, which references the MIPI M-PHY庐 v5.0 physical layer specification and the MIPI UniPro庐 v2.0 transport layer specification. 聽

JEDEC partners with the Universal Flash Storage Association (UFSA), which was created to support the widespread adoption and acceptance of the JEDEC UFS standard. UFSA鈥檚 primary mission includes the promotion of UFS technology and infrastructure by providing product compliance and UFS logo certification management.
